Molding Department Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general direction of the Molding Department Manager, the Material Handler will perform those tasks and activities necessary to set up and maintain an adequate supply of raw material to production equipment.  Responsibilities include the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Makes sure raw material is available at start-up and throughout production job.
• Minimizes waste and ensures lot tractability.
• Examines regrind amount so that scrap material is properly accounted for and reused where permitted.
• Maintains material handling equipment.
• Organizes and reviews inventory control paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity.
• Good performance record, work ethic, demonstrated initiative.
• Attention to detail; excellent organizational and record keeping skills.
• General math skills and some computer experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good safety record.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
