Team Leader
The Manufacturing Quality Technician (MQT) is responsible for performing and documenting ongoing attribute and dimensional inspections on assigned molding machines in accordance with the QAR and/or Control Plan, using basic gauging equipment such as calipers, height gauges, and/or vision systems.
This position has the direct responsibility for ensuring that only product that meets all the established Quality Assurance Requirements are packaged and shipped to our customers. The MQT also has the responsibility, authority and obligation to document and verbally communicate potential quality problems to the Shift Supervisor, Team Leader, and/or QAT on the shift.
Read and follow all instructions on the Quality Assurance Requirements document and Control Plan if applicable.
Responsible for gauging, SPC, and recording of data of the product. . Performs Weigh Count and Final Audit as needed.
Visually inspect product to the requirements as specified on the QAR, General Appearance Sample and Control Plan, as applicable.
Ensure that start-up and shut-down procedures are complied with per the established guidelines.
Document inspection results using the attribute tally sheets.
Perform line clearing in the event of process interruptions and/or adjustments.
Fill out box templates.
Use designated attribute inspection gauges and document the results as specified on the QAR.
Communicate machine and/or process problems to the shift QAT’s.
Package and handle product as specified on the QAR.
Report safety hazards to the Team Leader.
Separate runners from production, if needed.
Use assigned inspection stamp to identify approved production.
Follow company safety rules, procedures, and policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or MQE.
