Description:
To provide total technical solution proposals to our customers in the engineering of custom injection molded products (DFM) and other engineering services. This person manages, leads the proposal efforts, communicates with the customer, and coordinates potential engineering projects as assigned to further the growth of Nolato GW. The role requires preparing proposals, reviewing key proposals and quotes, refining them, and tailoring them to the customer. Significant follow-up is also required. This role manages the details of the project, manages timelines, and facilitates projects to successful completion and launch.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a four-year university; or four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in related manufacturing industry
Experience in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA certified environment is desired.
Demonstrated project management ability, with emphasis on the tooling and molding of injection molded products
Proficiency in the following software packages required:
o Solidworks and/or Unigraphics NX
o MS Office Suite
o Autodesk Insight/Synergy Moldflow)
o MS Teams
o MS Project
o Minitab
Deep understanding of the complete injection molding manufacturing process and overall knowledge of the injection molding markets and industry
Understanding of injection mold design and manufacturing processes
Ability to aid in the design of the finished product for manufacturing ease
Strong understanding of injection mold tooling, DFM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and DOE.
Ability to evaluate and critique product design for injection mold functionality and manufacturability. Provide customers with DFM input on product enhancements.
Knowledge of ISO systems for medical products is required
Excellent leadership skills are required as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks for multiple projects.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a positive, team player in a cross-functional team environment.
